This is the second version, with monolithic gate to act as a riser. Turned out much better, great pour. On this one I managed the patina better, this is a good look at it.

Gotta say, I like the 1st one more. Maybe it's just because of the difference in light and positioning of the camera but the first one looks more solid, despite the issues you mentioned. Its lower part is also significantly darker than this one's - that way the 1st crystal looks a bit more mystical/out-of-the-world.
